The Power Is Yours To Bring Captain Planet Back

Nearly fifteen years ago, the environmentally conscious cartoon, Captain Planet and the Planeteers, debuted and provided education and entertainment to countless children and youths. For six years, this award winning cartoon has taught its viewers how to respect the environment and how to work as a team to save the planet.

Even though original episodes of Captain Planet have not been produced for nearly a decade, the cartoon still has a huge fan following and has the support of organizations such as the Captain Planet Foundation. Now, devoted fans are striving to realize the following goals:

A) The fans of Captain Planet and the Planeteers strongly support the return of this animated program to the popular Cartoon Network, where it can be viewed by not only fans who have loved the show since childhood, but by the next generation of Captain Planet fans who have yet to learn ecologically sound lessons in an entertaining fashion. In order to make Captain Planet accessible to all children and youths with cable TV, it is important to bring Captain Planet and the Planeteers back to the Cartoon Network lineup at an after school hour.

B) The fans of Captain Planet and the Planeteers are in full support of the series final seasons episodes being added to the regular episode line-up. For unknown reasons, these thirteen season 6 episodes have not aired while Captain Planet plays in reruns. Many veteran fans fondly remember these episodes and would love to see them again, while many new fans have yet to see any of them. In order to get the most out of the Captain Planet series, all six seasons of this eco-friendly cartoon should be available to those who switch on the TV to watch it.

C) The fans of Captain Planet and the Planeteers believe whole heartedly that the entire series should be offered on DVD. Many cartoons that have aired both before and after Captain Planet have already been released on DVD, while Captain Planet still has not. It would be advantageous to many parties involved if Captain Planet And The Planeteers six seasons were to be released on DVD, as they would sell very well and not only bring in a profit for any stores or venders, but make Captain Planet available in the classroom as well as the home. This would enable viewers who would be unable to see it to enjoy and learn from the environmental cartoon.
