Training Courses in the Physics of Strongly Correlated Systems

We, the undersigned, wish to support and promote the Training Courses in the Physics of Strongly Correlated Systems, founded by Professor Ferdinando Mancini (Universitа degli Studi di Salerno, Italy) in 1996 and yearly held in Vietri sul Mare (Salerno, Italy), as they constitute:
1) a systematic, very relevant occasion for early stage researchers to improve and complete their education in Condensed Matter Physics by personally interacting with the widest recognized experts in the field in a closed environment;
2) an opportunity for both senior and younger researchers to create a network of scientific relations and prospective collaborations;
3) an opportunity for younger participants to get PostDoc positions in the Institutes where the senior researchers are active, thus fostering international mobility;
4) an opportunity to those already involved in the field to get an increasing working knowledge and expertise, towards frontier research, by learning most recent and powerful analytical and numerical techniques directly by scientists who formulated them;
5) an opportunity to the neophytes to get more and more attracted by and possibly involved in this extremely important research field;
6) the forge of updated and highly specialized lecture notes, regularly published by AIP and used as reference texts for advanced graduate courses in the field in many Graduate Schools.
