This petition is to have Michael L. Brown, DOC# 04909095 currently incarcerated in FTC Oklahoma City, Federal transfer Center. Oklahoma City, Ok. 73189 transferred to the state of Wisconsin, where his family resides. He has children and family residing in Wisconsin and his mother has recently suffered a stroke and possible heart attack, and her health is failing. Due to her condition, traveling out of state to visit her son would be extremely difficult. His children would also suffer by not visiting their father, as well as other family and loved ones.
There are considerable factors suggesting Michael's innocence, some which include:
The jury was all white, His attorney did not interview witnesses Michael gave names to, and he didn't call any of them, The attorney failed to call witnesses such as the Chicago FBI agents to help prove the Government's witnesses lied to them, there was jury misconduct, The attorney had concerns about his future career and admitted that his hands were tied, and did not want to go against the flow and prove Michael's innocence. Michael received 73 years federal time without the chance for parole.
Considering all these factors, being send to a state other than his home town of Wisconsin would be unjust punishment, and punishment for his innocent loved ones. We the undersigned plead that all considerations be made to have this inmate returned to Wisconsin to complete his sentence.
