Water Fluoridation Gosford City

We the undersigned demand that Gosford City Council either abide by the results of the two previous referendums on water fluoridation, or conduct another referendum on this issue.

We believe that the actions of the Mayor and the four other councillors who supported the Mayoral Minute to refer the decision to the NSW Department of Health constitutes a loss of our democratic rights and contravenes the NSW Fluoridation Act.

We, along with many other professionals who are concerned with the health effect of this toxic waste product, do not believe that any dental health benefits will be gained from subjecting the whole population to a substance that is more toxic than lead, regardless of age, medical condition, rate of consumption or socio-economic background.

Our position mirrors that of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) ".. more and more scientists are now seriously questioning the benefits of fluoride, even in small amounts."
