We, the hereby undersigned, would like to express our great discomfort from the event organised by the Russian, German culture centers in Cairo, to present the shocking short film the fifth tpound at its screens.
Understanding the message of the film, we would have expected the friend nations, such as Russia and germany, to show greater concern and respect for the egyptian and muslim values, especially those concerning the Holy Quran.
The Fifth Pound film has clearly used the Holy Quran and one of islams faith aspects Hijab- to draw twisted impressions and to contravene islams mentality and values.
We hereby condemn the unrespectful act of the culture center, and we would love to ask what would have been your act if the egyptian embassy at your countries would adopt a film questionning the savagery of the Nazi or even if Htler was so bad!
We , unfortunately, find this act disadvantageous to the efforts done by your nation and ours, by your culture and ours, to open doors, and extend bridges between cultures and minds.
