We, the students in grades 9, 10 and 11, would hereby like to request that you allow us to choose the locations of our lockers in the 2007/2008 school year.
We would all like to choose lockers close to or friends and people we would like to be near and in the locations we choose. It has been a tradition for students in the middle years to choose lockers in areas we are allowed and we feel that we should be allowed to continue that. We understand that you are worried about the "ethnic clogging" through out the school but we believe it is free will to choose locations to keep our belongings. Possibly you see only the halls that are in danger of being devoted to one race but do not look at other halls in which there are many races all intertwined between lockers. We understand that you have possibly already made up your minds and are not prepared to move but please try and hear the voices of the students who feel strongly about this matter and want to have free choice for their "home away from home." Thank you for hear our side of this situation.
