This petition is to get Woody Woodpecker cartoons released on DVD. Woody Woodpeckers first cartoons were theatrical cartoons first appearing in the Andy Panda short "Knock Knock" in 1940. Like many other characters from this era, he moved into television and was featured in many shows and syndication packages over the years. In fact, Woody Woodpecker was even an early spokesman for Kellogg's cereal on television!
Woody Woodpecker cartoons have been seen on television from time to time over the years - most recently in a 1999 revival that appeared on the Fox Kids channel.
We, the undersigned would like to support a DVD release of Woody Woodpecker cartoons - preferably in chronological order with the audio and video presented at the highest level of quality possible. We understand that over the years many of these cartoons have been censored - for a DVD release we feel that it is important to restore the cartoons to their original condition. If a censored version is included on the DVD, then an uncensored version should also be available (either on the same disc or as a seperate release).
