According to the latest reports following conversations with Ahmad Batbis father, there is a growing concern over Ahmads health. Ahmad was returned to prison despite the recommendations of the medical profession at Tehran Shohada hospital given his deteriorating health and physical weaknesses. Moreover, the Security forces have prohibited his parents from giving interviews or reports to any news media.



Returning a patient with severe physical weaknesses to prison is inhumane and against human rights. Ahmad Batbi is not a criminal, but a freedom seeking person who participated in students protests in 2001 in defence of civil and human rights. Ahmad was apprehended by the Security Forces, imprisoned and tortured ever since.



Ahmad Batbis family are most concerned about the health of their son. In his latest conversations, Ahmads father, Mohammad Baqer Batbi, has requested the intervention of Red Cross and human rights institutions, and the medical attention of Red Cross to aid Ahmad.



We, the Society in defence of political prisoners and human rights in Iran, along with the suffering family of Ahmad Batbi, seek immediate aid and medical attention of Red Cross for this political prisoner, and urge all international human rights institutions to help in saving the life of Ahmad Batbi.

بر اساس آخرین خبر رسیده در گفتگویی با پدر احمد باطبی حال جسمانی احمد بسیار وخیم است ، بر خلاف نظر پزشکان بیمارستان شهدا تهران با وجود داشتن تشنج و ضعف شدید جسمی مجددا وی را به زندان باز گردانده اند . تحت فشار نیروهای امنیتی واطلاعاتی ایران خانواده ی وی اجازه ندارند با هیچ نهاد خبری مصاحبه کنند .

باز گرداندن یک بیمار با وضعیت وخیم جسمانی به زندان خلاف شئو نات انسانی و نقض حقوق بشر است . احمد باطبی نه یک مجرم بلکه انسانی آزادیخواه است که برای دفاع ازادیهای مدنی و حقوق بشر در مبارزات دانشجویی سال ۷۸ شجاعانه شرکت کرد ، متاسفانه از آن موقع توسط نیروهای امنیتی دستگیر ، شکنجه و تا کنون در زندان به سر می برد .

خانواده ی احمد باطبی ازوضعیت وخیم جسمی فرزندشان بسیار نگران هستند. طبق آخرین گفتگو با پدرش محمد باقر باطبی وی دست نیاز به سوی صلیب سرخ جهانی و نهادهای بشر دوست دراز کرده وهمچنین ایشان تقاضای کمک پزشکی برای مداوای فرزندش از پزشکان صلیب سرخ دارد.

ما به عنوان انجمن دفاع از زندانیان سیاسی وحقوق بشر ایران نیز همصدا با خانواده ی رنجدیده ی احمد باطبی خواستار کمک فوری و امداد رسانی بخش پزشکی صلیب سرخ جهانی برای مداوای این زندانی سیاسی هستیم واز تمامی نهادهای بین المللی مدافع حقوق بشر تقاضای تلاش برای نجات جان احمد باطبی را داریم .
