3G/4G Coverage to Northeast Tennessee

As customers of T-Mobile USA, this petition is to inform T-Mobile USA of the dissatisfaction of the lack of 3G coverage in the upper Northeastern Tennessee region known as the Tri-Cities. T-Mobile's rates are of the best competitive, if not the best, of cellular carriers in this region. On the other hand, T-Mobile's data coverage in this area is something left to be desired. The Tri-Cities are comprised of Johnson City, Bristol, and Kingsport as well as other surrounding areas. Customers within these areas who use smartphones are unfortunately still only equipped with EDGE on their data plans. Other major competitors (Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T) have expanded 3G coverage in this area. Some are even ramping up 4G/LTE coverage as well. T-Mobile has expanded 4G coverage, just an hour and half in Knoxville, TN. While data coverage is excellent in Knoxville, it is disheartening to some college residents who have chosen to pursue academic studies at East Tennessee State University (ETSU), which is located in Johnson City, TN upon losing the faster 3G/4G coverage, unless they opt for another carrier with a minimum of 3G coverage in this area. While 4G coverage will be a welcomed addition to the Tri-Cities, many residents have been waiting for quite awhile for the promised upgrade to 3G, as current 3G & 4G devices are being sold in T-Mobile retail stores within these areas. Please bring 3G, if not 4G data coverage to the Tri-Cities to stay competitive in this region.
