A Call for the Nationalization of Media

Whereas it is clear that the Media should represent the voice of the People (hereinafter referred to as the State),

Whereas the interest of the State is paramount, and the advocacy of State agendas and campaigns is poorly served in the current system,

Whereas it is simply too easy for individuals to choose which media to consume according to their own biases, crippling drives to augment the voices of traditionally underrepresented and under-served perspectives,

Whereas the inert corruption of the Capitalist system corrupts everything it comes into contact with,

Whereas the current sad state of the Media can easily be attributed to the influence of Capitalist excess,

Whereas "from each according to his ability" doesn't mean that if you have the ability to "buy" Media outlets and use them for Individualist purposes, you should be allowed to,

We hereby demand the Nationalization of all Media, including Television, Radio, and the Internet, the confiscation of satellite, cable and Internet infrastructure and facilities, the re-purposing of such facilities to serve a structured Information Dissemination program to be headed by a formal Information Committee elected by the State, which will also be used to denounce and expose State enemies, announce lists of politicians and pundits who speak out against Howard Dean, and in general pursue a program of directed instruction, stern advice and approved entertainment programming.

We, the undersigned, demand that all of the recommendations described herein be carried out fully, without compromise and without delay.
