A Curse on the heads of DC Comics

We, the undersigned do hereby curse the creators of the comic book 'Countdown to Infinite Crisis' and all its ancillary products for failing in the sacred trust they have been given to treat the characters whose lives they document with respect and decency. This curse extends to any writers, artists, colorists or other members of the creative team who personally worked on said books and to the entire editorial staff of DC Comics. This curse also falls on the heads of any past or present staff member of DC comics, past or present freelance artist and friends or acquaintances thereof whose advice or consent was sought concerning said books who then failed to warn against the project.
Attitudes expressed in said books contribute to the overall degradation of the comic book medium in general as well as alienating current and potential future fans by shamelessly throwing out decades of character development in favor of press and a quick buck. We feel that this attitude will lead to a continuation of the industry's implosion as fans leave the hobby and new ones fail to materialize.
This curse is intended to promote failure and heartache, both personally and professionally, for all who fall under it's aegis.
This curse will be lifted on any affected person who renounces said books and strives to prevent such occurrences in the future.
