The Burin Peninsula is a region of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador that has, like other areas of the province, seen a massive exodus of people over the past 10-20 years. Still the people of this region should have more than 1 dentist serving a population base of 20-25 thousand. We have many things to offer a dentist and their family; A safe, stable environment, lots of fun things to see and do. I must reiterate that I have nothing against the current dentist, Dr. Bill Witherell, who has been my dentist for close to 20 years; You don't get much better than Dr.Witherell but when a dentist appointment gets cancelled twice in 6 months you know that there has to be another dentist on the Burin Peninsula.

My son has also had 2 appointments cancelled. I call the office and told them that it did not matter which Hygenist he saw as I am paying good money to adhere to a family dental plan.

They canceled my appointment in October, I've been on a waiting list ever since. I think that's horrible.
