A Thank-You note to Fidel Castro and the people of Cuba

We the undersigned join to extend our gratitude to Fidel Castro and the people of Cuba for offering their fine medical help in our time of emergency due to Hurricane Katrina.
It saddens us to know that so much help was and is needed and that this large number of well-trained doctors is not welcomed into our country to share our relief work. While not all signatories below may agree on everything President Castro says and does (many are unaware of anything being said from our neighbor to the south) we DO all agree that this was a needed act of generosity, and we apologize for its lack of being graciously accepted.
