ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC coverage of Major National Disasters

It is an absolute disgrace to our country that the four major television networks; namely NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX Broadcasting have provided little to no coverage of the mandatory evacuation of New Orleans and of the ongoing relief efforts of millions Americans in the Gulf area of the United States.

Americans who have had access to the cable news channels, CNN, FOXNEWS and MSNBC are well aware of the enormous size and severity of the destruction that has happened to their fellow Americans in the gulf coast region.

However, those Americans who depend on the traditional broadcast networks for their news are woefully uninformed both to the extent and seriousness of the disaster. Due to this pathetic apathy on the part of the major broadcast networks, many Americans within the United States are STILL unaware that THOUSANDS of Americans have lost their lives, and many will perish if they are not rescued and/or assisted in time.

The four networks continue to turn a blind eye by broadcasting game shows, sitcoms, soap operas and reality series while our fellow Americans are suffering mass heartache and death at unprecedented levels.

We the undersigned join in condemning this disgusting display of apathy on the part of ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC broadcast networks. We demand that the above named networks begin immediate full 12 hour daily coverage of the national emergency and continue to do so until the declaration of emergency has been lifted from all states in the affected areas.

Finally we, as one, demand that the broadcast networks provide at least full 12 hour coverage of all future large-scale national disasters which befall the United States of America.
