We, the undersigned, oppose the Eco-Depot Garbage Transfer Station on all Neskonlith Lands and Neskonlith residential neighbourhood.
This transfer station presents a severe danger to human health in Neskonlith and surrounding areas, and to wildlife around Neskonlith- an area that is habitat to countless animal and plant species and home to an aquatic wetland area. The Eco-Depot Garbage Transfer Station will cause serious degradation of our land, water, bring unwanted traffic, pests (mice, rats. Etc.) and garbage wastes.
We call on the Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD), the Village of Chase and Neskonlith Chief and Council to find a new transfer site that is more suitable and environmentally sound.
