Dear all!
Found below is a link to view some pictures of the quality of work done on our main rotunda.

Within less than a year, this rotunda has shown multiple cracks and the texture of the colored cement is already defective.
Once the rotunda was complete, the contractors applied a sealant over it for better protection. It turn out to be a big mistake as few weeks after, the sealant was already started to peel off.
The contractor had to remove the sealant by hand, but the result is still not acceptable. Not only is this rotunda looking awful but we should be all concerned about its maintenance.
If nothing is done by the contractor or Landco prior the Turnover, the owners will have to pay a high price to have it corrected and maintained.
With this petition, I invite all of you to demand that serious restorations should be done on the main rotunda in order to give us the investment which we are all entitled to.
In addition, we will avoid any unnecessary cost maintenance that is supposed to occur only after 10 to 15 years. This is why Landco has chosen to use this type of material and I understand that this contractor was the only one to propose a top quality material.
I am sure the material must be of good quality but I have some serious suspicious on the way the products have been used. When this contractor came back after several months to start the construction of the rotundas at the guard house and at the entry of Amara, they started the job by laying down the colored concrete over the cement -- which was not supposed to be done in such a way, according to Allan Purification. He had arrived a few minutes after the job started and had to request from the contractor to redo the work properly.
Because of this incident that I have personally witnessed, I have questioned Engineer Allan to confirm if the same problem has occurred at the main rotunda. I do recall that the main rotunda, once it was completed, did not show any color contrast at all. The contrast of the colored cement was aimed at creating the design based on the sun. I do recall that the colored cement was identical, and it is only after the contractor applied a sealant, that the contrast became obvious.
But I have strong doubts that the first layer was a sealant, as I have seen the pail that they have used and even took pictures of it. It looks very much as paint.
Of course the contractor has denied it and does not seem to want to do something about it.
Correction needs to be implemented on this area, but it does not seem that Landco is really concerned about it.
Help us restore the main rotunda by signing this petition.
