Amend the Standard Rules of Play for Re-buys

Whereas the Manitoba Gaming Control Commission has licensed Texas Hold'Em Tournaments as a Charitable Fundraising Activity and has established Standard Rules of Play for this activity, we the undersigned do hereby petition the Commission to amend rules 25 and 27 of the Standard Rules of Play to more closely reflect internationally-accepted practice. The proposed amended rules are as follows:

25. A player is eliminated from the tournament as follows:

a) In a fixed-entry fee tournament, once they have lost all of their chips; and

b) In a re-buy tournament, once they have lost all of their chips and exercised all of the re-buy options allowed under the Tournament Rules.

Any other rules of elimination must be specified in the Tournament Rules.

27. In a re-buy tournament, a player who has lost all of their chips must exercise their re-buy option befor the start of the next live hand or they will be eliminated.
