Re:
Traffic Flow at Parkwood Plaza Shopping Center, 6825 University Avenue, Middleton, WI
As residents of the surrounding neighborhoods, adjacent to the Parkwood Plaza Shopping Center, we are asking all noted parties to collectively develop efficient and safer vehicle and pedestrian traffic patterns for the shopping center. Currently, the set up is cause for numerous accidents and near accidents, especially on Park Street. Upcoming remodeling and opening of Willy Street Co-op, which we are all eagerly awaiting, will increase traffic flow considerably. This is a situation where adding signage will not correct the existing traffic flow pattern or the expected increase in traffic; what signage is there is not currently obeyed or enforced. Location, and/or style, of each of the shopping centers entrances and exits needs to be assessed as to whether each needs to be modified, re-located or closed. Please add this to your next department or company meeting agenda so that this can be addressed.
