American Idol Voting System and 4/26 Recount Petition

To Whom It May Concern at FOX Network:

Regarding the ousting of Constantine Maroulis, we the undersigned respectfully demand a re-count, re-vote, or at least re-airing of the April 26, 2005 episode of American Idol. We feel that the results were inaccurate and do not represent the sentiments of America.

We submit this request in light of phone issues that have been brought up, most specifically regarding a message saying "all circuits busy" and callers not being able to get through. The second reason we come with concerns is because of certain websites which may sway voting numbers. One case in point is the website "Vote for the Worst" which may be found at http://www.votefortheworst.com. It encourages voters to call in for the "least favored" contestant. We feel, as many others do, that this website has swayed numerous votes and tallies this week as well as over the last few weeks with other Idol oustings and encourage you to investigate this further. The voting system must be changed in order to stop this kind of activity from happening. 'Hired voters' has been an issue as well.

We also find it very hard to believe that Mr. Maroulis would be ousted his first time in the bottom three and we hope that there is no suspicious activity going on with production crews in rigging this vocal talent and performance competition.

To conclude, we ask that you take all things into consideration and as requested, have a re-count, re-vote, or re-airing of the 4/26 show. In the case of a re-count or re-vote, we request that a non-biased official be in the area that this occurs. If results are shown to be the same, we will accept the results without question. We would like to keep our hopes up for FOX and American Idol, however, things such as the ousting of Constantine Maroulis and other talented singers lead us into doubt when talent such as theirs is suddenly gone. If nothing is done, you will be losing viewers, ratings will go down. Without America, what is American Idol? A wildcard may be your only hope in keeping voters and viewers,please consider this.
