AN OPEN LETTER OF PROTEST TO GLAXOSMITHKLINE CANADIAN SENIOR MANAGEMENT REGARDING PAXIL & PAXIL CR





We, the undersigned, believe that your drug Paroxetine HCL, marketed in Canada as Paxil & Paxil CR, is a defective pharmaceutical. We further believe that this drug has caused innumerable deaths and damage to Canadians, especially children, adolescents and young adults.





We further believe, as internal documents and published medical literature support, that you had evidence of this defect yet continued the unethical marketing of this drug to Canadian physicians.





You have devastated many Canadian families, and from documented numerous press reports, many others outside of Canada.





We demand that you present all known risks associated with Paxil to Health Canada and put a stop to any new prescriptions of the drug Paxil/ Paxil CR before you cause many more deaths and injury. A fund needs be put in place to cover all costs incurred by any person who has suffered due to your defective medication Paxil.





To the senior management of GSK: If you do not act now, we will pursue all available avenues under Canadian law to hold senior GSK executives personally responsible for future harm to Canadians. Canadian case law options will be explored.





Beginning in Canada, but not limited to, we are initiating a worldwide boycott of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) products, including Paxil, by refusing the use of any of the GSK drugs listed below.
