We, the undersigned, oppose the current PETA (people for the ethical treatment of animals) Campaign entitled: "Holocaust on Your Plate". It is crucial that the American public recognizes that there is a fundamental distinction between human beings and animals, and that unethical treatment of the two should never be compared as the same thing. In addition, it is important to clarify that we, the undersigned, are not for the unethical treatment of animals, but human life holds more value than animal life.
Although PETA has a noble message in pursuit of protecting the sanctity of animal lives, they have still offended & insulted many members inside and out of the Jewish community.
The corruption that exists within the meat industry in America today does not belong in the same dialogue as the atrocious acts of hate committed against innocent Jews, Gypsies and other minority groups in Nazi Germany resulting in more than 6 million deaths. It not only de-sensitizes the world about this devastating historical event, but it equates those lost in that disaster with cattle and the like. We openly object to this comparison and demand a re-evaluation of an animal rights campaign on the part of the organization, PETA
