Esta peticion es para dar nuestro apoyo, proteger y honrar a los trabajadores de la industria petrolera de Venezuela (PDVSA) y la Marina Mercante de Venezuela que estan apegados al paro civico nacional convocado por la gran mayoria de los Venezolanos. Hoy ellos sufren vejaciones, despidos injustificados, violaciones de los derechos humanos y acciones ilegales en su contra por parte del Gobierno de Venezuela y la nueva presidencia de PDVSA, quienes se encargan de difamarlos y desacreditarlos a nivel mundial llamandolos saboteadores y terroristas.
Nosotros los abajo firmantes expresamos nuestro apoyo, solidaridad y admiracion por las valerosas acciones tomadas por estos verdaderos heroes de la patria de Simon Bolivar al mantenerse firmes junto con el pueblo de Venezuela en el justo reclamo por un estado de derecho verdaderamente democratico que hoy se nos niega.
English Translation
This petition has been placed to give our support, protect and honor the workers of the Venezuelan oil industry (PDVSA) and the workers of the Merchant Marine of Venezuela who are part of the national strike called by the great majority of the Venezuelan citizens. At this moment, these honorable workers are being subject to humiliations, unlawful dismissals, human rights violations, and illegal actions by the national government and the new presidency of PDVSA, who have unleashed a worldwide defamation campaign calling them saboteurs and terrorists.
We the undersigned express our full support, solidarity and admiration for the brave actions taken by these true heroes of the land of Simon Bolivar, who stand firm with the people of Venezuela in our effort to re-establish a state of law and a true democracy that is being denied to us today.
