Over the past ten months, the actions of Marcus Vick have put a scar on the reputation of a quality athletic program, and more importantly, a quality university. The time has come when we, the fans and supporters of Virginia Tech, have had enough. Marcus Vick has now cast the third strike against himself, and has demonstrated that he does not possess the character worthy of representing Virginia Tech or those associated with the university. The reputation and integrity not only of you, but of all Virginia Tech supporters, our university and our new conference affiliate now rely on your decision. To remove as much distraction as possible from the 2004 football season and to restore that which makes Virginia Tech special, we implore you to take appropriate action by removing Marcus Vick from the Virginia Tech athletic program.
