*September 17, 2006: Air Force Dornier 228 aircraft (with 18 people on board) crashes in Benue State; 13 people (including 10 army generals) dead
*December 10, 2005: Port Hacourt: a (Sosolilso Airlines) plane crash leaves 107 dead
*November 28, 2005: Kaduna: a Beechcraft 200 executive jet crashed, killing the two occupants.
*November 4, 2005: Lagos: KLM plane - On landing roll the aircraft received unknown damage when it ran into a pothole.
*October 22, 2005: Lisa Village, outside Lagos: a Boeing 737-200 aircraft belonging to the domestic Bellview Airlines crashed in Lisa village, 40 kilometres north-west of Lagos, barely three minutes after take-off from Lagos en route for Abuja. All 117 passengers and crewmembers on board died in the crash.
