Backstreet Fans Take A Stand

We, The Backstreet Boys fans go through many hard times just trying to enjoy our
favorite band. We feel that in many ways, the media have ignored us. When the
media do take the time to notice us it's only to mock us and laugh at how "stupid" we are for listening to a "teenybopper" group. The media refuse to listen to our opinions and let's what we say in one ear and out the other. In other words, we feel that Backstreet fans are disrespected, period! We feel it's way past time to let everyone know what's on our minds.

The Backstreet fans, who have signed this petition, agree that most, if not, all forms of media have shown disrespect toward us and BSB including:

RADIO (Certain stations claim BSB don't fit into their playlists anymore, and that they don't get enough requests to play them. However, we still see those same stations that claim BSB don't fit into their playlist at BSB's concerts! E-mailers are often told that they shouldn't request on a certain station because they don't live in that city. Why, then, do so many radio stations have websites where anyone in the world can listen online? If you can broadcast to anyone who has access to the Internet, doesn't it seem right to let anyone request as well?)

TELEVISION (Why is it that we only see a Backstreet video when it's premired and on shows where the fans request to see it? Why don't we see it at any other times?)

NEWSPAPERS (We ask that journalists please stop insulting BSB, their fans, and their shows. Please give your opinions instead of your insults!)

MAGAZINES (Unless BSB is promoting a new album, it's pretty rare these days to see an article or a picture of our Boys. Please put a larger variety of pictures and articles in your magazines! Both teens AND adults love the BSB!)

ONLINE MUSIC SITES (This goes along with magazines... we're asking that websites dedicated to dishing out the latest news on music please search a little deeper and get some more variety onto your websites!)

BSB fans are kindly asking that the media pay their dues and give us and BSB a little respect.
