Ban Olympic Bullfighting

Since the recent statements by the International Olympic Committee have come to light, detailing that the cruel and inhumane "sport" of bullfighting is being considered for contention in future Olympic Games, I hereby wish to express my disgust at the sickening idea.





While bullfighting may indeed have a history steeped in hundereds of years of tradition, the killing of an innocent animal is not required in The Olympic Games. By placing this event in the public eye, this clearly sends a message that killing animals slowly, using swords, large darts, daggers, etc and causing the animal to die slowly from blood loss is in some way an acceptable form of entertainment. By allowing this, it will open the doors for other athletic stages to include bullfighting in thier games aswell, ie: The Commonwealth Games, The Special Olympics, etc.





It is of extreme importance that the IOC halt immediatly any plans of including this vile activity in the Olympic Games and bring back family entertainment to The Games.
