Please sign this petition to help bring a end to the poor conditions of both rodents and exotic mammals, people contribute to the rodent farming industry by buying from pet shops that supply pets from these farms.
In the rodent farm females are almost always used for breeding spend their lives either pregnant or lactating, once they have been 'used' to the point that they cannot possibly breed any longer they are killed for snake food, ill and deformed animals also meet this fate.
The rodents are kept in tiny, over crowded cages with no attention paid to nutrition or enrichment. They are not handled and they first time they will meet a friendly hand is once they have been bought, unfortunately this is why most pet store rodents bite.
When the animals are ready they are then transported to our leading pet shops!
We then buy them and end up giving these farms money for this to happen all over again!
