We, from various organizations and individuals, come together to express our collective
disgust and anger over the injustice that happen to the rape victim Baja Joshi in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. As soon as we have enough signatures, this petition will be forwarded to the Chief Minister of Gujarat & Indian Government to take immediate action without asserting any financial power & political connection and to make sure that her rapists get punishment.
Bijal Joshi (24) was gang raped by a group of five rich men in a room, in Ahmedabad on 1/1/2004 New Years Eve & Bijal committed suicide after few days at her residence after losing all hopes of getting justice. While five accused, Chandar Jaiswal, Mandan Jaiswal and Sugam Jaiswal alias Monty, Sajal Jain, Bijals lover and Karan Jain were still absconding.

She lost all her hope when she realized that the accused would walk free and unpunished, as the Police officials that she and her family went to were interested in covering-up the case. It was then that she decided to commit suicide. We want to make sure this kind of injustice never happens again to any of you.
We decided to help her out by putting her petition on the web. If you feel sorry for this girl and her family, and if you want her to get justice even after her death, then please sign the petition.
