Boycott Beechmount Garden Centre in Navan for using baby reindeer

Beechmount Garden Centre in Navan, Co Meath, Ireland have been using baby reindeer as part of their Christmas display. By displaying them in store, the baby reindeer are subjected to stress, humiliation and utterly unneccessary suffering in the name of "the Christmas experience". In addition, the baby reindeer are being fed sweets and junk food by children through the bars of the encloser, and are crying in distress.
Baby reindeer are not meant to be in an Irish garden store, for the amusement of people, or to give the store a "Christmas" feel. We are not living in Victorian times, and the use of live animals, especially baby reindeer, is completely ridiculous in this day and age.
Please write to Beechmount Garden Centre and let them know you will be boycotting their store until they stop the use of baby reindeer or any other live animals for their Christmas marketing and shopping experience. Stores do listen to their customers, and as we're in the middle of a recession, your complaints, opinions and feedback WILL matter. Hamleys Store in London had to do a u-turn on displaying live baby reindeer and penguins in their store after a social media backlash and complaints from thousands of consumers and customers were received by the store.
Let us show Beechmount Garden Centre that baby reindeer are not for show, they deserve more than to be part of a store display.

As a Navan resident, I can say I'm horrified and disgusted. The things people will do for a cheap buck is beyond me. Boycotting Beechmount.

animals are not are's to use for entertainment. The poor little deer should be with its mother..and not stuck as some display feature for people to stare at....its terrible...shame on these people, how dare they...!!!!
