Peter Jackson made wonderful, award-winning films and a huge sum of money for New Line Cinema by making The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. He is the most logical director for future Tolkein projects, particularly for The Hobbit. Thousands of movie fans have told New Line this a number of times over the years.
New Line has chosen to ignore these requests, due to a lawsuit Jackson brought over LOTR movie profits.
As a result of New Line's intransigence, we will boycott all New Line Cinema products of any kind until New Line Cinema resolves the LOTR profits dispute with Peter Jackson. We will not go to any new New Line movies and we will not buy or rent any New Line DVDs.
