Music has become a major influence on our youth today. There are kids and teens who have bands that just want to perform for their friends. Some people dont agree with what I am about to state but for those of you who do agree then stand by this. For years now maybe your children have been around violence and drugs. Some parents like to keep these children off the streets and away from it all. There is a way your child or you yourself can get out and enjoy yourself and get away from the violence and drugs. I am a member of a band called Promising a Better Day. I enjoy rock music and I enjoy watching and hearing rock music. For all of those kids who know what I am talking about, SPEAK UP. Its time for us to be heard. I live in Bridesburg and there is a venue called The Realife Cafe. Its a christian cafe in our tiny neighborhood that spreads gods word to all who enter. Well see we play shows there as much as possible but we only have a 60 day permit. We can only play every 60 days. Local bands love to play music more often and want to help kids off the streets here in Bridesburg. This city alone has enough reason to stay off the streets. Philadelphia is an incredible city , but face it, there are kids in this city who walk around on friday nights throwing there lives away. Well lets change it. For all those kids who listen to rock/emo/hardcore/indie/punk and to all the parents of those kids, SPEAK UP!!! If you sign this petition it will help us get a permit for shows whenever. We really want the help of those people who live in and around the Bridesburg Area. Please help us live out our dreams and let your children have a wonderful night with their friends.
