Bring Clubhouse to The-N!

Clubhouse, the drama starring Jeremy Sumpter, Christopher Lloyd and Dean Cain was untimely cancelled by Viacom and CBS before it was given a chance. CBS is not usually a network that is frequented by Clubhouses targeted teen audience and therefore the show was doomed from its inception. This is unfortunate because Clubhouse offered a positive message to todays young people. Jeremy Sumpters character Pete Young exemplified what every young man should hope to become. He juggled a near fulltime job, a rigorous high school curriculum and even had time for a social life. CBS aired five (5) episodes in the fall of 2004, and there are still seven (7) that have been filmed but were never aired. We urge Viacom to take advantage of these twelve (12) episodes and air them on The-N teen block on the digital cable channel Noggin. The-Ns line up of shows including Degrassi the New Generation, Radio Free Rosco, and Clueless deal with the subjects that matter to their tween and teen audiences and there is no question that Clubhouse would fit right in.
The fictitious New York Empires baseball team serves as a backdrop to the life of bat boy Pete Young (Jeremy Sumpter), who comes from a broken home. Conrad Dean (Dean Cain) is the teams franchise player and becomes a big brother type for Pete. Longtime equipment manager Lou (Christopher Lloyd), Petes boss, serves as a stern yet caring father figure. In the first five episodes, Pete confronts ethical questions dealing with drugs, hazing, cheating, alcohol, and honesty. We also see Petes older sister spiral downward and eventually hit rock bottom. Her struggles are eye opening and would serve The-Ns audience as life lessons.
We hope that we can reunite with Pete, Conrad, Lou, and company soon on The-N and we are sure that they will help inspire tweens and teens for years to come.
