Build a New Covered Skatepark in Wellington for Skateboarders & Scooterists

This petition is to show Wellington City Council evidence of support for a new skatepark to be built in Wellington.
We're asking the council to support and partially fund (along with corporate & community trust sponsorship) a new innovative COVERED skatepark in Wellington's Western Ward (potentially near Karori/Northland area).
The Wellington Region has only 7 skateparks - most of which are just ramps - and none are able to be used in bad weather. We're proposing a poured in ground concrete skatepark with a cover that can offer sun protection in good weather, and rain cover in bad.
This is aimed at youth between the ages of 8-17, but for all interested Wellingtonians.
We want skateboarders & scooterists to be involved in the design process, so what we build is innovative and different from what's currently on offer at Waitangi Park and Wellington in general.
Wellington is a vibrant capital city in need of a large dedicated covered space for skateboarding/scootering – as a city we should be leading the way.
