Beginning in September 2007, Burma is undoubtedly undergoing an immediate revolution, led by all levels of social groups. Even as the world watches, the Burmese military regime viciously attacks and kills the peaceful demonstrators, whose only request is that a failing and dysfunctional entity in charge steps down. Without the direct and immediate action of the world, the peaceful and oppressed people of Burma may never gain Democracy.

We, the undersigned, acknowledge the failures, cruelty, and the incompetence of the Burmese military regime, who are unfit to lead or govern, even through oppressive means, as indicated by the following: extremely poor and failing economy of Burma, lack of basic infrastructures, the extreme gap between the rich and the poor, ethnic cleansing of minorities, annihilation of over 3,000 villages resulting in millions of refugees, the highest rate of child soldier conscription in the world, rampant poverty, disease, continual civil unrest and oppression.

We, the undersigned, urge the all members of political parties around the world, whether it be the United Nations, U.S Congress, or any other political entity capable of forceful political persuasion, by your duties, obligation, and oath, as leaders, to uphold and serve the will and interest of the people whom you represent, as indicated and hereby authorized in this petition by the collected signatures, to immediately and personally intervene, against the tyrannical military regime of Burma (Myanmar), who imposes their oppressive rule over the people of Burma against their will, by use of deadly force, human rights violations, and the denial of basic civil liberties.

We, the undersigned, demand you take immediate action in applying any and all levels of political pressure, from restriction of all business or trades, and not limited to military involvement if necessary. We demand you swiftly intervene as many other nations currently share the same oppression that Burma faces, but by your actions taken against the Burmese military regime, in the modern world of interconnected global economy, politics, and relations, will set a future precedence and example upon which other nations who share the same misfortune, can also ultimately arrive at the same destiny as Burma, a free and Democratic nation.
