Canada has not investigated whether there is actually evidence linking Osama Bin Laden or the Taliban to the attacks of September 11, 2001. Canada accepted the accusation against Bin Laden by the United States at face value. There has been no independent investigation on Canadas part to confirm or reject this allegation.
Though Osama (written Usama) Bin Laden is listed on the FBIs Most Wanted Terrorists list (Official FBI page: http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/terrorists/terbinladen.htm), he has not been indicted or charged by the FBI in association with the attacks of September 11, 2001. When contacted, Rex Tomb, Chief of Investigative Publicity for the FBI about this omission, he stated that, The reason why 9/11 is not mentioned on Usama Bin Ladens Most Wanted page is because the FBI has no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11. As Canada is sovereign country, we must conduct our own official independent inquiry into the events of September 11, 2001. We can not rely on United States intelligence/opinion to make Canadian military decisions. The Canadian Government was intelligent enough to keep Canada out of Iraq, but the government should have launched a full, official investigation into 9/11 before unofficially declaring war in Afghanistan.
Canadas commitment to Afghanistan through NATO is until 2009. We, the undersigned, insist that the Canadian Government pull our troops out of all combat roles in Afghanistan immediately and re-assign them to peacekeeping/aid and re-building roles until the Canadian public have been shown solid evidence that Osama/Usama Bin Laden was behind the attacks of September 11, 2001.
