Change in the inscriptions of The Gateway of India

As most people know, the Gateway of India is an important monument and another matter of pride for us Indians........Or probably not. It is inscribed on it that it was "Erected to commemorate the landing in India of their IMPERIAL MAJESTIES King George V and Queen Mary on the Second of December MCMXI"

Although the Gateway of India has a great historical importance,but the phrase 'imperial Majesties" is implying that the Brits are supirior to us.

So, I think that the phrase 'Imperial Majesties' should be removed from the Gateway of India.
