Re: Columbia Drive In Theatre

WE, the undersigned, are completely appalled and disgusted and against the eradication of our Columbia Drive In Theatre which, next year, will be ONE HALF OF A CENTURY OLD and should be deemed an Untouchable Historical Landmark.

The Columbia Drive In has been in existence since 1956, and we find it abhorrent that the Hogan Development Company plans to destroy this family oriented time honored entertainment facility to erect a very much UN-NEEDED and UN-WANTED strip mall or condo site.

Tearing down a rare business (There are only a 40 left in Pennsylvania) for ANY reason will only bring bad press and angry feelings toward the Hogan Development Company and what ever business they decide to put there.

Not only that, but we the undersigned, will NOT shop in any business that is put in place of our beloved Columbia Drive In Theatre and will NOT rent or purchase any living facility that is put in place of our theatre.

It is in the best interest of the Hogan Development Companies' reputation to keep the Columbia Drive In OPEN and OPERATIONAL indefinitely. It is obvious that the theatre is loved and well attended, it is a successful, thriving and much loved vintage business that hundred's of Lancaster County Families have recently frequented to the point of capacity.

WE urge you to preserve what is left of old time Lancaster County. We have lost so many beautiful open fields to strips malls and developments, which we all know there are more than enough of in Lancaster County! We are going to keep losing the quaint, country old time genre of our lovely county if something is not done immediately. Pease do the right thing, halt destruction of our Vintage Columbia Drive In Theatre and allow it to be left where it has been for nearly 50 years.

WE WILL NOT FREQUENT ANY BUSINESS OR RESIDENT BUSINESS THAT IS PUT IN PLACE OF OUR BELOVED COLUMBIA DRIVE IN.

So much about Lancaster County is "Old Time" i.e. the Amish and Mennonite Communities that we lovingly embrace. Isn't DESTROYING a VINTAGE, Rare business the EXACT Opposite of what we hold dear about Lancaster County and staying true to tradition?

Thank you.
