Dear Sir,
We express our serious concern against the police attack on
the peaceful demonstration of the students at the Jadavpur University
campus.
We feel that it is disgraceful and an irresponsible act which
undermines the spirit and dignity of an academic institution. It
is also a violation of established democratic and human rights.
We request you to kindly intervene and take necessary steps against
those who designed and executed such a brutal attack. We also
request you to take personal initiative to restore normalcy at the
university as soon as possible.
