Dear Members of the Congress of the United States of America,
We, the signers of this petition, demand a formal investigation of the atrocity committed in June 1967 by the Israeli government in attacking the U.S.S. Liberty, in which a 34 American sailors died and 172 were injured. We hold that a formal investigation of this devastating incident is necessary to the evaluation of the United States alliance with Israel and relations as such.
