Construction Workers Opposed to S.6146A

We the undersigned, are trained and safe New York State construction workers and we oppose S.6146-A (Wicks Law reform legislation). We are opposed to mandated Project Labor Agreements and apprenticeship programs for all workers on taxpayer funded projects in the State of New York. These mandates will exclude Tens of Thousands of construction workers from working on projects in their home towns. Furthermore, S.6146-A will ultimately raise the cost of construction missing its goal of taxpayer relief. We urge the members of the New York Senate to vote NO to S.6146-A and YES to a real reform bill that includes every New York Construction worker.
