We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to create a Cornish Bank Holiday on 5th March to commemorate St Pirans Day. We believe that Cornwall should have its own public holiday to commemorate St Pirans day as celebrations of Cornwall's patron, St Piran, on 5th March are growing each year in scope, support and significance. We believe that this is a valuable opportunity for the people of Cornwall to celebrate their unique heritage, language, culture and aspirations. We call on the Government to make St Piran's Day a public holiday in Cornwall.
