Re: In reference to the criminalization of marijuana

We, the undersigned, express concern regarding the current marijuana laws at the federal and state levels. Numerous studies and statistics have shown that marijuana is less harmful than alcohol and cigarettes, two drugs that are currently legal, and marijuana also has numerous medical benefits. We feel marijuana should be decriminalized at the federal level with regulatory laws left to state and local governments. This would provide states the opportunity to allow marijuana use for medicinal purposes and small amounts for personal use.
