Demand Service for Cingular Customers in New Orleans

We, the undersigned, are Cingular customers from the New Orleans area. In the past several months, we have experienced ongoing, chronic signal problems that result in nearly every call being interrupted or cut off after a few minutes. For many of us, this means redialing each call several times. For others the problems have included incoming calls being diverted to "out of service" messages, loss of income due to employers being unable to reach us, and friends who have given up on calling our cell phones because they know they won't be able to get through.

Individually, we have called Cingular to report these problems, and we have each been informed that there have been no reports of service problems in the area. Since we know this to be completely inaccurate, we are signing here together to document a widespread problem that Cingular refuses to address.

We ask that Cingular do one of two things:
1. Solve the problems in the New Orleans signal
2. Allow customers to cancel their service without penalty.
