Hi everyone,
I'm the founder of the official Italian forum dedicated to the New York band Scissor Sisters.
I'd like to express the big disappointment that the cancellation of the upcoming European concerts (including those scheduled in Italy) has caused among the Italian fans of this band.
The fact that financial issues might be the reason behind this decision is maybe likely for the Italian situation, but what about the sold-out concert in Paris that got cancelled as well?
The fact is, that it's not acceptable that an Europen tour consisting of NINE shows gets cancelled because of financial issues: health problems or binding business commitments are the only acceptable grounds that could lead to such a cancellation (even though an artist -or their management- should be able to better schedule and manage their commitments).
This decision will definitely disappoint many fans all over Europe, and particularly those from Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland and Luxemburg.
I'd like now to address to Scissor Sisters with the following message:
THIS CANCELLATION might greatly damage your image, not only towards your die-hard fans, but also towards the new ones.
Some of them might be so disappointed as to hardly want to risk buying concert tickets again, even if the desire of enjoying your live shows is surely high. Some very disappointed fans might even consider not buying your albums anymore.
We know it's sad, and we hope it won't happen, but we've heard this in some reactions and therefore it's still a perspective we have to take into account.
Because it's really hard to accept TWO cancellations within a few months.
Given the above, it'd be nice if this petition would meet the agreement of all European fans and if everyone of you who bought a ticket for one of the cancelled shows would sign it in order to show your disappointment. We would be most grateful if you considered spreading the voice about this petition, so as to help us to reach our goal.
As soon as we gather a convincing amount of signatures, we'll send the petition to the band or to their management.
Thank you for taking the time to read our petition and thank you once again if you decided to sign it, showing your disappointment and bitterness for this upsetting cancellation.
Sincerely,
Maroli Giangiacomo
