Do Not Cut AmeriCorps

AmeriCorps program should not be cut. This program not only helps the individual, but also the community that is being served. As I single mother, the AmeriCorps program has helped me to determine that I do want to be a teacher. The scholarship that I received helped open doors towards my goal. I worked with students that had different needs that I have helped solved. I also had the opportunity to work within the community from feeding the homeless to making care packages for Hurricane Katrina Survivors. My family was also touched by my experience as well. My son and daughters put in community hours. They saw just how much mommy did for what she believed in. There are millions of stories of how precious AmeriCorps program is to the United States. To cut it would a great lost. So please SIGN UP and STAND UP against the government ending this program.
