Easyjet flights from the UK to Flybalaton

To Whom It May Concern

We petition Easyjet airline to consider opening discussions with SCD group, the current operators of Flybalaton airport, regarding the possibility of flights between the UK and Flybalaton.
This route was previously served by Ryanair and proved to be extremely popular; contributing significantly to the increase in passenger numbers, over a three year period, from 25,000 to 125,000. April 2010 saw the recommencement of flights from Germany to Flybalaton and the introduction of flights from Basel, yet passenger numbers for 2010 have been estimated at only 34,000, a significant decrease from 125,000 thus confirming the demand for the now defunct UK route.

Currently; British residing in Balaton, holiday home owners, friends and family are flying into Budapest, Graz, Zagreb and Bratislava proving there is demand for flights from the UK to our "local" airport. Further, due to Ryanair pulling out of Budapest in October, many British will now have long and expensive commutes to and from the airport in both the UK and Hungary. Therefore, we, the undersigned, would ask Easyjet to consider discussions with SDC group - at their earliest convenience.
