Why do We Need an HOA?

You were not given full disclosure of the facts at your real estate closing that an HOA could foreclose on your home if you did not pay your fees/assessments. NOW THAT YOU KNOW, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT? This is an effort to start a petition to terminate BROOKMERE HOA!

POINTS TO PONDER!

1. You did not have a choice whether you wanted to be in an HOA. Its mandatory!

2. Its enclosed inside of your mortgage documents/deed, so it runs with the land!

3. If the HOA should foreclose, the fees you have paid to them is what they will pay to their attorneyto fight you!

4. When homes are foreclosing all around, can an HOA really protect property values?

5. As adults, dont we know what to do with our own properties?

6. If there are over $130,000 in outstanding fees, how many of you are paying dues anyway?

7. If you are up-to-date on your mortgage/taxes, do you really want to lose your home to an HOA?

8. What is the HOA doing with your money, do you know?

9. Why are we given full-disclosure in everything else, but not in our HOA agreement?

10. Who regulates HOAs?

11. If you knew an HOA could foreclose on your property BEFORE you signed the loan documents, would you still have purchased the home?

12. Do you know how to protect yourself against abuses of a HOA?

13. Do you know how to protect yourself against an HOA foreclosure?

14. Do you know your rights as they pertain to an HOA?

15. How much money did your HOA put into your pocket to buy/upkeep your home?
