End Sharp Corners of The World
Sign Now
Dear World,
We, the undersigned, through this letter, protest the existence of sharp corners or edges everywhere. We declare that sharp corners, whether they are at the ends of walls, cabinets, desks or exist at the extremities of any object or structure, to be mostly superfluous hazards to humanity. They unnecessarily threaten our toes, our foreheads and most importantly our eyeballs.
Critics may suggest that right-angled corners are needed for people to perceive the material border between empty space and the object, and they may even point to a particular Seinfeld episode where Kramer falls to the ground because of a rounded corner of a wall as evidence but this assertion is only partially true. If a rounded corner is lacking in contrast then it can be made more distinct by the use of line and color to aid in the perception of its boundaries.
If you have ever been injured by an unnecessarily sharp corner or edge then we urge you to sign this petition to help put a stop to the conventional right-angle wisdom. Don't be a square.
