Fair Trade at Carleton

Whereas there are significant problems relating to the production of chocolate, tea, coffee and sugar including forced labour, child labour, insufficient wages and preventable unsafe working conditions and whereas fair trade represents a more just and sustainable alternative, we the undersigned request that fair trade products including, but not limited to, fair trade chocolate, tea and coffee be made available at the Unicentre Store and Abstentions, as well as fair trade coffee, tea and sugar in Oasis, the cafeteria, the food court, the Loeb Cafй, tunnel junctions and where ever else such products are available.
