We, The Undersigned, agree that the results of the November 2006 by-election to elect a student to the UNB Board of Governors, held by the UNB Student Union, are in question. The doubt is in relation to:
1. the enfranchisement of students (are we sure all students were able to vote?);
2. the accuracy of the electoral results (are we certain the electoral results are valid?);
3. the competence and diligence of election officials in conducting this election (are the elections run in a fair manner?); and
4. the reliability of the voting mechanism (is the way we vote free of error?).
Given this doubt and the margin of victory (9 votes), we, The Undersigned, agree that this election should be rejected and that a new election should be held.
We, The Undersigned, ask for a review of the UNB Student Union voting mechanism, and that the issues outlined in the complaint found at this page be addressed.
